Official Giveaway Rules - August

Eligibility

This giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is open to everyone who are legal residents of giveaway entry age in the eligible countries where Pokémon TCG Pocket is available.

Employees of Sponsor and other companies associated with the promotion of the Giveaway, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Giveaway is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Agreement to Rules.

Participation in the Giveaway constitutes your agreement to and acceptance of these Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a Reward is contingent upon being and staying compliant with these Rules.

Giveaway Period

The Giveaway begins on August 21st, 2026, at 15:00 GMT and runs across three (3) consecutive Giveaway Days (the “Giveaway Period”). Each Giveaway Day’s giveaway post opens at 15:00 GMT on its corresponding calendar date and remains open for entries for 24 hours, until 15:00 GMT the following day, when the winners for that day are drawn, as follows:

Giveaway Day 1: opens August 21st, 2026 at 15:00 GMT — closes August 22nd, 2026 at 15:00 GMT Giveaway Day 2: opens August 22nd, 2026 at 15:00 GMT — closes August 23rd, 2026 at 15:00 GMT Giveaway Day 3: opens August 23rd, 2026 at 15:00 GMT — closes August 24th, 2026 at 15:00 GMT

The Giveaway Period ends when the third and final daily giveaway post closes on August 24th, 2026 at 15:00 GMT. Entries that are submitted before a daily giveaway post opens, or after its 15:00 GMT closing time, will be disqualified.

How to Enter

The Giveaway must be entered on the official Giveaway social media page on Instagram, https://www.instagram.com/ptcgptrade, during the Giveaway Period. A separate giveaway post will be published on Instagram for each Giveaway Day.

To enter, for each daily giveaway post you wish to participate in, you must:

1. Follow the official Sponsor account @ptcgptrade on Instagram;

2. Like the relevant daily giveaway post; and

3. Tag three (3) friends in the comments of that post.

The entry must fulfil all giveaway requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or submitted without following the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

You may enter only once per post, and you must complete all of the actions requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple accounts, identities or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules your entry may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

Earning Additional Chances

During the Giveaway Period, you will have the opportunity to have more chances by entering the Sponsor’s separate daily giveaway post published for each of the three (3) Giveaway Days. Each daily post is treated as its own draw, so entering on more than one day increases your overall chances of winning.

Prizes and Rewards

On or about the end of each Giveaway Day, Sponsor will tally the number of eligible entries received on that day’s giveaway post.

Winners will be chosen at random from the eligible entries for each Giveaway Day. The number of winners increases each day, and each winner will receive one (1) 2★ (2-star) Professor’s Research card, as set out below:

Giveaway Day 1 (August 21st): 1 winner — 1 × 2★ Professor’s Research card Giveaway Day 2 (August 22nd): 2 winners — 2 × 2★ Professor’s Research card Giveaway Day 3 (August 23rd): 3 winners — 3 × 2★ Professor’s Research card

A total of six (6) Rewards (six 2★ Professor’s Research cards) will be awarded across the full Giveaway Period.

Claiming Your Reward (In-Game Trade Requirements)

Rewards are delivered in-game through the Pokémon TCG Pocket trading system. In order to receive a Reward, a winner must be able to complete the in-game trade with the Sponsor at the time of delivery. Accordingly, at the time the trade is carried out, each winner must:

1. Have a sufficient amount of Shinedust to complete the trade;

2. Have sufficient Trade Stamina available to complete the trade; and

3. Provide a 2★ (2-star) card of their own to trade in return, in accordance with the game’s trading rules.

If a winner does not meet, or is unwilling to meet, these in-game requirements to complete the trade within the claim period, the winner forfeits the Reward. In such a case, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, select an alternate winner or leave the Reward unawarded. The winner is solely responsible for having the necessary in-game resources (including Shinedust, Trade Stamina, and an eligible 2★ card) to complete the trade.

Winner Notification

This section is only applicable to eligible entrants who qualify for a Reward and have not been disqualified for attempting to circumvent the rules, as determined by the Sponsor.

Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner(s) via email or direct message on or about the end of each Giveaway Day and/or the end of the Giveaway Period. If you are eligible for a prize or reward, you will be notified by email or direct message. You will be required to respond to us within three (3) days of the date of notice or attempted notice is sent, in order to claim your Reward. If you cannot be contacted, or you fail to respond appropriately within the required time period, or the Reward is returned as undeliverable, you forfeit your Reward.

ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL GIVEAWAY RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT SPONSOR'S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN THE WINNER'S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE SWEEPSTAKES AND WILL NO LONGER BE CONSIDERED AN ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANT.

Odds of winning

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received on each daily giveaway post. The odds of winning are equal for all contestants entering the same daily giveaway post. One contestant may enter on more than one Giveaway Day to increase their chances of winning.

General Conditions

In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Giveaway is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, technical problems, security malfunctions or in the event the Giveaway is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (1) suspend the Giveaway to address the impairment and then resume in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Rules; or (2) terminate the Giveaway and, in the event of termination, no participant shall be eligible for a Reward of any type. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the operation of the Giveaway or to be acting in violation of these Rules or a disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway including, but not limited to; multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computing device in excess of that allowed by sweepstakes rules; or the use of bots, employed humans to create false entries, macros or scripts or other technical means for entering may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorneys fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Release and Limitations of Liability

By participating in the Giveaway, you agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, and each of its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the Giveaway, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (together, “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Giveaway or receipt of a Reward, including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the Giveaway, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, or wireless service provider; (b) unauthorised human intervention in the Giveaway; (c) mechanical human, printing or typographical errors; or (d) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from your participation in the Giveaway or acceptance, receipt or misuse of any Reward you may receive.

You further agree that in any cause of action, the Released Parties' liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Giveaway, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the Giveaway.

This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. You understand that you are providing your information to the Sponsor and not to Instagram.

Privacy & Information Submitted

Any information you provide to Sponsor may be used to communicate with you in relation to this Giveaway or on a Giveaway Winner’s list. By entering the Giveaway, you agree to receive email newsletters periodically from the Sponsor. You can opt out of receiving these emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the newsletter. Information submitted in connection with the Giveaway will be treated in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.

Arbitration

These Rules shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Sponsor location.

Except where prohibited, you agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Giveaway or any Reward awarded shall be resolved by binding arbitration, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the giveaway home location. The parties agree to follow the arbitration procedures set forth by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) to resolve the dispute. Arbitration proceedings shall take place in the Giveaway home location. Each party is responsible for paying its own filing, administrative and arbitrator fees. Judgement on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.
